I have 2 lamps on my office desk that I wanted to control with my voice. This was the perfect solution and I still have 1 plug left.

Setting up was easy using the Alexa app and the barcode on the back of the power strip. I renamed the plugs accordingly and then I grouped them into a group called "Office lamps".

Now I simply say "Alexa, turn on/off office lamps" instead of reaching for the switches on the cords.

Easy to set up and it does exactly what it's supposed to.
My mother was constantly leaving all the lights on her side of the office on because she didn't want to have to turn them off and on repeatedly throughout the day. With this, she just tells Alexa to turn the office on or off and it does it instantly.
I would have preferred 4 plugs since she has 4 lights, but a splitter solved that.
The buttons to switch each plug on and off are unnecessary for us but convenient, too.
The only problem I've had with it is sometimes Alexa doesn't hear the command, but that's because it's hidden on a table in the middle of the room instead of out in the opening like every other Alexa in the house.

I use to have a regular surge protector in one of those hide away cord boxes that people use to organize/hide their computer cables, that sits on my bedside table for my lamp, and what I would have to do was stick my finger through this little slit to flip the on/off button to turn on my lamp and it got so annoying so fast. So I purchased this smart surge protector and how I’ve lived before that, I will never know.

It’s so easy and convenient to just open the app and turn it on or off, it allows you to label each outlet in the app for even more ease, you can also use your Alexa to turn it on or off if you don’t have your phone on you.
